Brrrrrr!!

Don't let the bright blue sky in these photos deceive you into thinking spring has arrived in Sweden! I took these photos along the canal path infront of our flat yesterday when I walked home from my Swedish lesson at lunchtime and the temperature was down to -16 C!! It had been starting to warm up a little bit, but this week it has turned really cold and wintery again!

Gee that's a lot of snow. I wish we could have some of those over here. It's getting to be too hot here in our Country.

Oh, my...I spent part of my day comparing the continuing snow levels in Copenhagen and Stockholm (where my bosses are located)...we've decided that the snow needs to just melt already! But the canals look very pretty in the snow at least. :-)

Awwww I'm so jealous! That looks beautiful. Is the snow all crunchy? Or powdery and soft? Or slightly damp and perfect for snow ball fights?

Yep thats a lot of snow there.
We are getting rain. They say for the next week at least. I saw spring flowers tips emerging from the ground today.

Yes, it is really cold, but with these bright sunny days, it is also so much more beautiful. The way the snow glitters like diamonds, the brilliant blue sky and the twittering of the returning birds makes all of the difference. I love it when we have a spell like this.

You are very brave to walk home in such cold weather. Hope you had some hot chocolate for lunch to warm you up.

The snow is very beautiful.

Enjoy your weekend.

Helen, I love your photos! You know, I am from a tropical country and the snow is very attractive to me. I would like to see more snow pictures!

I'm jealous too! It snowed here today but by afternoon, the snbow was gone and it was warm enough to go without a coat! Meh :(

Lots of knitting to keep you warm, I hope? ;>

Oooohh, those are some chilly photographs you've got there!

And here I was complaining about it being minus ONE here in west coast Canada. :)

The blue skies are so deceiving. I can´t tell you the amount of times I´ve left home underdressed because in my mind I associate blue skies with warm weather. Then I freeze my tush off!!
