Christmas decorations
I saw the first of the Christmas decorations in the shops today. They were all very tasteful and minimalist - not like some of the naff decorations at home! The advent candles and stars seem most popular, but there were also quite a few decorations with drawers to put sweets in for each day in December leading up to Christmas. My favourite was a pretend gingerbread house with 24 tiny drawers - might have to treat myself!

I had a friend from home to stay last weekend and luckily the weather was nice enough for us all to have one last picnic by the lake. We went to Gaddesanda, on the edge of Lake Vänern, which is the largest lake in Europe, being the size of the M25 area. It was fairly chilly and windy but we managed to sit out long enough to eat our skagenröra sandwiches and go for a walk.
